Opening the chart on each listing

Every dress on horizonpicks.com has its own size chart, in inches, in the Description tab below the photos. The “Size chart” link above the size buttons jumps straight to it. Each chart lists only the sizes that dress is sold in, and the line above it says what was measured. Most charts measure the dress. Some give body ranges instead, and one gives flat widths across the front.

Taking a tape to bust, waist, and hips

Use a soft tape measure over underwear or one thin layer. Keep the tape level all the way around, snug but not pulled tight. Bust goes around the fullest part of the chest, under the arms. Waist goes around the narrowest part of the torso, usually about an inch above the navel. Hips go around the fullest part of the seat, with the feet together. Round each figure to the nearest half inch and write it down.

Laying a dress that fits flat

Pick a dress that fits the way the new one should and lay it flat on a table, front up and smoothed out. Measure the bust straight across from armpit seam to armpit seam, the waist straight across at its narrowest line, and the length from the top of the shoulder to the hem. Double the bust and waist figures to get the measurement around. Hold those doubled figures and the length against a dress chart, not the letter printed on the label.

Telling a body chart from a dress chart

A dress chart gives one figure per size in each column, such as a 38.58-inch bust. That’s the dress, measured flat and doubled, so it lines up with the figures from the dress laid out on the table. A body chart gives ranges, such as a 36-39 inch bust, and those ranges describe the person each size fits: pick the size whose ranges hold the tape figures. Dress length on a body chart is still measured on the dress. A flat chart shows bust and waist straight across without doubling, so double them before comparing.

Matching letter sizes to US sizes

Most makers in the catalog pair letter sizes with US women’s sizes as below, and the body ranges come from the body charts on the site, in inches. When a dress’s own chart gives a different US size, the dress’s chart wins.

Letter size US size Body bust Body waist Body hips
S 4-6 34-36 26-28 36-38
M 8-10 36-39 28-31 38-41
L 12-14 39-41 31-33 41-43
XL 16-18 41-44 33-36 43-46
2XL (XXL) 20-22 44-47 36-39 46-48
1X 14W-16W 41-45 35-39 43-47
2X 18W-20W 45-49 39-43 47-51
3X 22W-24W 49-53 43-47 51-55
4X 26W-28W 53-57 47-51 55-59
5X 30W-32W 57-61 51-55 59-63

On the charts that print a US size, 3XL is usually US 24-26 and 4XL is US 28-30. For 3XL, 4XL, and 5XL, go by the dress’s own chart.

Allowing an inch either way

Every chart is measured by hand, and a delivered dress can differ from it by up to 1 inch. A length more than 1 inch off the chart is treated as a not-as-described dress in the Refund and Returns Policy: report it with photos within the 30-day window, and Horizon Picks covers the return postage and refunds the shipping fee. A dress within that inch that still fits differently than hoped is a change of mind.

Deciding between two sizes

Check the Fabric line in the Details list first. A rayon or polyester knit with spandex stretches, and a woven fabric without spandex doesn’t. When the tape lands between two sizes on a woven dress, order the larger one. For any other doubt, email customer service the dress name and the three tape figures before ordering, and the answer costs nothing.

Returning a size that doesn’t fit

A wrong size counts as a change of mind. The return request has to go in within 30 days of delivery, the shopper pays the international postage to the return address in China, the restocking fee is $0.00, and the refund covers the dress price, not the original shipping fee. There’s no direct swap: return the first dress for a refund and place a new order.

On the calendar: a dress delivered on Tuesday, Nov 10, 2026 can go back as a wrong size if the return request is sent by Thursday, Dec 10, 2026.

A dress whose size tag doesn’t match the size on the order confirmation is different. That’s Horizon Picks’ error: report it within 14 days of delivery and attach a picture of the tag, and the right size follows at no charge.

Writing to customer service about fit

Fit questions go to customer service at contact@horizonpicks.com or +1 (826) 287-0144, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM until 4:00 PM Eastern Time, and the answer comes within one business day. Send the dress name, the size in mind, and the tape figures. A measurement that isn’t on the chart gets checked with the partner in China and can take one more business day. The Contact page has a form as well.
